| This exam was not that difficult at all. There were those questions in there that you just don't understand. Like other people have stated in some cases you can eliminate all the answers except 2 and have a 50/50 chance. The best strategy I have is to read the question closely as well as the answers. the exam took me about 25 minutes and I scored 815. To study, I looked over the objectives, the information in the comments (know different scsi types and their properties) and my 10 years server exepereince. If you have the experience a lot of the answers will seem common sense to you.

| Not too terribly difficult, albeit confusing at times. Several poorly worded questions, and the test didn't cover some newer emerging storage technologies very well (might have simply been the selection of questions I drew). I scored an 84% and used the Server+ ExamCram2 book and Transcender software. |

   Not too bad | c2computer |
 |
| Test was not too bad, need to know SCIS cable lengths, termination questions, SCSI speeds, SNMP protocol info, backups, best practices for security of servers, rooms, SAN/NAS differences, SAN configurations, iSCSI, etc. Go over the Comptia checklist of things to know and everything you don't know, look it up and you will be ok. |

| This one wasn't too bad. Pretty common stuff. If you have done any Microsoft Exams then alot of this stuff you will know already. A few questions about securing your server which are pretty much common sense. Really Nothing too exciting on this exam. Email me if you need information on the exam. matthewcrabbe@gmail.com |

   Good Test | moejoh |

| Nice assortment of topics covered. This was an easy one for me because I've been in the field for 12 years. All I had to do is study up on a couple areas, & I was ready for the exam. |

Vague at times. | digsaw |
 |
| I passed this test with a 732.
I think the CompTia supplemental guide and the old study book seemed sufficient to me. The CompTia guide is decent. They give you a good number of practice questions too and good links to do some more research on the new stuff.
My biggest problem is the vaguness in some questions that made a couple of questions hard to answer sufficiently in my opinion. Plus some questions didn't seem to be written all that well.
But yaaaay I passed at least! Don't take the exam lightly. :) |

   Horrible Test | latinpr0phet |
 |
| I say this has got to be the worst test I have ever seen. Half of the material on the test is not in any of 3 books which I studied from. Not to mention they ask you many questions about SAN and the intricacies of it. Not to mention that the questions were also vague, makes you think if the test writer is even technical at all. I passed by the skin of my teeth. This will be the last comptia test I ever take. |

Out of Date | shanephillip |

| This test was only difficult because it was out of date. Who really needs to know the length of a SCSI-1 cable, or that you had to upgrade the kernel in NT 4 to add another processor? Nothing about PCI-X, new processors, redundant power, etc. Lots of troubleshooting techniques that can only be learned from experience. I have been doing multi-vendor, enterprise server configurations for over five years and passed after studying for one night. Interested to see the new 2005 version. |

Not too bad, typical CompTIA | cheenah |
 |
| I found this exam to be typical CompTIA: poorly written with quite a few questions with more than one correct answer. As always, choose the "best" answer (which in this case is the one CompTIA would like to hear, not necessarily what you would do in real life.) I took this test cold, just some last minute cramming on RAID and SCSI in the car on the way to the test, and that really paid off. If you get stuck on a question, it's usually quite easy to eliminate 2 answers and take a guess out of the remaining two. Lastly, as another poster said, this is the longest I've ever been in the exam room, just over 1 hour. |
