To prepare for this exam, you should be working in the IT
field and have general knowledge of Security related topics. This exam covers
all aspects of Security, although it doesn’t go into very great depth on
any of them. If you were in the process of striving to get your
TICSA,
or
CISSP,
then this exam would be considered a stepping-stone. The exam covers less depth
than other certification exams, but it definitely covers the breadth... there is
plenty to know for this exam. Do not under estimate this exam. It is not highly
difficult, but covers such a wide range of topics that it is almost impossible
to skip preparing for the exam and still pass it.
To prepare, go over the posted objectives for the exam and
make sure you have all details of each objective covered in your studies. All
topics are covered very well in the exam.
