Here are tips to passing this test:
This exam covers material previously contained in two Oracle8I
exams: the
8I Network Administration exam, and the
8I Backup and Recovery exam. About one-quarter to one-third of this new
exam covers the Network Administration material, and about two-thirds to
three-quarters of it is concerned with backup and recovery. Obviously, since
two exams have been combined into one, the new 9I exam covers a lesser level of
detail than did the equivalent 8I exams.

many you need to answer correctly to pass the 9i tests – visit their website

To pass any of the Oracle exams, you need to do three things:

In addition, consider classroom training if you are new to the
subject.

Preferably you can get this experience at work. If not, you can
get a copy of Oracle with a limited license to install under Windows, Linux, or
Unix from any number of books you’ll see on the shelves at B. Dalton’s or
Barnes and Noble.

www.oracle.com, by selecting the Downloads option. Or you can get it
from Oracle Corp’s TechNet website at

These two books are great sources of test questions; however, at
the time of writing, they have not yet come out in 9i versions...
Oracle 8i: Certified Professional DBA Practice Exams, by
J. Couchman (Oracle Press, 2001), gives you 15 sample tests with over 1,000
questions.
OCP: Oracle8i DBA Virtual Test Center, by Sybex (editor)
(Sybex, 2001, ISBN 0782130097), contains over 1,000 questions for all exams on
CD.
